JioStar has announced the simultaneous launch of six editions of Bigg Boss across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla from September 2026, marking the franchise’s biggest multi-language rollout to date. The reality show will air across the JioStar television network and stream on JioHotstar during the festive season.
The upcoming editions will feature returning hosts Salman Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal, while Sourav Ganguly joins the franchise as the host of Bigg Boss Bangla.
Alongside the announcement, JioStar unveiled India’s Bigg Reality, a coffee table book chronicling the show’s two-decade journey, cultural influence, audience engagement and impact on brand marketing.
According to the company, the Bigg Boss franchise reached over 500 million viewers across six language editions in 2025, generating more than 438 billion viewing minutes. Audience engagement grew 47% year-on-year, while over 625 brands across 46 categories partnered with the franchise. JioStar also revealed that six out of every 10 viewers on JioHotstar tuned into the show’s 24×7 live feed.
The coffee table book showcases how brands have leveraged the franchise through in-show integrations, interactive tasks and digital activations, highlighting Bigg Boss as a platform that blends entertainment with audience participation.
Commenting on the milestone, Mahesh Shetty, Head – Entertainment Sales, TV, JioStar, said, “Over the last two decades, Bigg Boss has continuously evolved in scale, engagement and cultural relevance. Launching six editions simultaneously is our biggest milestone yet. ‘India’s Bigg Reality’ captures the franchise’s journey through data and insights, documenting how it has become one of India’s most influential entertainment properties and a powerful platform for brands.”
Bhaskar Ramesh, Head – Entertainment Sales, Digital, JioStar, added, “During the festive season, when consumer attention is highly fragmented, Bigg Boss delivers sustained engagement at scale. With 24/7 live feeds, billions of votes and millions of interactions, the franchise offers brands a unique opportunity to connect with audiences where content, culture and commerce come together.”
In 2025, the franchise also recorded 9.32 billion votes, 43 million live chats, 1.7 billion social engagements and over 30 million user-generated memes, reinforcing its position as one of India’s most engaging entertainment properties.
