Samsung has released a new film introducing the Galaxy Watch9, built around a simple, relatable moment that doubles as product storytelling.
The film opens in a lift, where a man steps in radiating unusual energy, instantly catching the attention of his fellow passengers. When they ask what’s behind the sudden change, he smiles and raises his wrist to reveal the Galaxy Watch9, crediting it with helping him take better control of his health. He encourages his friends to give it a try too.
As the narrative unfolds, the film weaves in the watch’s key health features – sleep apnea risk detection, heart health and blood pressure monitoring, and a personalised running coach. By the end, each of his friends is shown taking their own small steps toward better health, inspired by his example.
The creative approach leans on everyday relatability rather than technical jargon, positioning the Galaxy Watch9 not just as a wearable gadget but as a genuine enabler of healthier daily choices. The lift setting and organic word-of-mouth format help the film land its message without feeling like a hard product pitch, effectively balancing storytelling with feature education.
That said, the film runs slightly longer than the message truly requires, with the pacing dragging a touch as it moves through each friend’s individual health journey.
Released on 22 July, the campaign underscores Samsung’s continued push to position the Galaxy Watch series as a serious player in the health-tech wearable space, competing on substance as much as design.
