Clinic Plus’s New Daughters’ Day Film Celebrates Daughters as Their Mothers’ Strength

Clinic Plus has released a new Daughters’ Day film, extending its #MeriBetiStrong campaign to explore how a daughter can become a source of strength for her mother, rather than the other way around. Built around the thought “Maa ki Majboori nahi, Beti Hoti hai Maa ki Mazbooti,” the film tells the mother-daughter story through the daughter’s perspective.

It opens at a book launch, where a mother is asked what inspired her collection of poems, and she points to her daughter, leading into a flashback of the daughter’s childhood. As she grows up, the daughter begins to notice the compromises her mother has made within her marriage, and while those around them urge her mother to simply adjust, the daughter helps her see another way forward.

The film traces their evolving relationship, following the daughter’s journey from observing her mother’s struggles to actively supporting her as she chooses to rebuild her life on her own terms. It closes back at the book launch, where the mother acknowledges her daughter as her true source of strength.

Harman Dhillon, Executive Director, Beauty & Wellbeing at HUL, dedicated the film to India’s 1.3 crore single mothers, whose resilience shapes their daughters’ futures while embodying the idea that a daughter is truly her mother’s strength.
