adfest Unveils a Lotus-Inspired Logo by Santosh Padhi as It Turns 30

adfest has unveiled a new logo designed by Santosh Padhi, founder, CCO and chairman of Into Creative, Mumbai. The new identity arrives ahead of adfest 2027, which will mark the festival’s 30th year.

The logo draws on the lotus and the adfest trophy. A curved strip of paper forms a shape that also resembles a lotus bud and a gateway. Baby pink is the primary colour and pastel green the secondary, both taken from the colours associated with the lotus. The paper strip also stands for the creative process, with paper as the starting point for an idea, sketch or thought.

Padhi said a simple piece of paper gave birth to the logo. When a small strip is bent, the negative space naturally forms the trophy and a lotus petal, and it also begins to look like an “A” and a gateway that welcomes the creative community. He recalled demonstrating the idea to Vinit and the team over a Zoom call by simply bending a piece of paper, and said keeping the logo simple and minimal was a conscious decision in an increasingly complex world.

Vinit Suraphongchai, chairman of adfest, said 30 years is a moment to look forward rather than back, and that the logo carries heritage while feeling open and dynamic. Rob Sherlock, chair of the adfest Collective Advisory Board, said the identity captures respect for the past with the door open to what comes next.

adfest 2027 will take place from March 18 to 20, 2027, at the Royal Cliff Hotels Group in Pattaya, Thailand.
