Motorola Partners Idiotic Media to Deploy 800+ Creators for Flipkart Big Billion Days Campaign

Motorola India skipped the usual festive banner blitz this year. For Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, it partnered with influencer marketing agency Idiotic Media to deploy more than 800 micro and macro creators. The campaign generated over 406 million views and 3.31 million engagements, and drove 1 million direct link clicks to Motorola’s Flipkart store pages.

With digital ad clutter at its peak during the sale, the brand chose a category-wise creator strategy over static banners. Idiotic Media activated creators across YouTube and Instagram, grouped into Viral, Tech, Fashion, Retail and Giveaway verticals. Micro-tech and retail creators broke down real-world smartphone capabilities, pushing high-intent shoppers straight towards purchase.

The 10-day execution also lifted Motorola’s social presence. The brand gained over 250,000 new followers, 140,000 of them during the peak sale window alone, a 13.23% growth.

Girish Kumar, Brand & Marketing Lead at Motorola, says breaking through festive noise means moving from broadcasting to conversational marketing. He adds that the brand also saw its highest-ever monthly social media and share-of-voice growth, with a significant impact on searches and buzz. Himanshu Singla, Founder & CEO of Idiotic Media, says relatable human storytelling will always outperform generic sales banners, helping the brand build trust at scale and turn casual viewers into buyers.
