Kansai Nerolac Posts 18.9% Revenue Growth in Q2, Margins Stay Under Pressure

Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited has reported its unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. Revenue from operations for the second quarter stood at ₹2,268.77 crore, up 18.9% year-on-year. EBITDA rose 4.9% to ₹223.23 crore, while profit before tax grew 4.3% to ₹191.88 crore.

For the half-year, the company recorded revenue of ₹4,601.60 crore, a 14.2% increase over the same period last year. EBITDA climbed 5.8% to ₹553.11 crore, and profit before tax rose 4.0% to ₹510.41 crore.

Managing Director Pravin Chaudhari said both the Decorative and Industrial businesses showed healthy momentum. The Industrial segment benefited from established customer relationships, technology capabilities and a diversified portfolio. In Decorative, the focus remains on profitable growth, with the company strengthening its position in adjacencies such as construction chemicals, waterproofing, wood finishes and projects.

He noted that raw-material and foreign-exchange volatility continued to weigh on input costs. The company has taken calibrated pricing actions and is working on product mix, formulation optimisation, sourcing efficiencies and cost management. Looking ahead, demand is expected to stay supportive, aided by the festive season and activity in automotive, infrastructure, real estate and core industrial sectors, though geopolitical uncertainty, commodity prices and currency movements remain areas to watch.
