Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (Z) has secured exclusive linear and digital rights to the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). Coverage will run across its sports bouquet, Unite8 Sports, and its streaming platform, ZEE5, marking a notable addition to the company’s growing sports lineup.
Under the 12-month agreement, viewers can catch 20 tournaments through the season, with up to 120 hours of live action. Each event will also come with dedicated programming, designed to give audiences closer access to the sport and its players.
The deal reflects Z’s push to build a differentiated, premium sports portfolio. It follows recent investments in football and other properties, including the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026, Bundesliga, Serie A and the IL T20. PGTI, led by former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, features golfers such as Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, Veer Ahlawat, Shaurya Bhattacharya and Angad Cheema.
Bavesh Janavlekar, Chief Business Officer, Unite8 Sports, said the aim is to amplify Indian golf’s visibility and bring athlete stories to a wider base. Kapil Dev said the partnership will make professional golf more accessible and introduce the game to new audiences. Z added that it will keep evaluating rights for long-term strategic value as it targets a larger share of the Attention Economy.
