AAAI Celebrates 80 Years of Shaping India’s Advertising Industry

The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) is set to mark a major milestone as it celebrates 80 years of shaping and strengthening India’s advertising ecosystem on May 19, 2026.

Founded in 1945, AAAI has played a defining role in building a more organised, ethical, and globally competitive advertising industry in India. Over the decades, the association has worked closely with agencies, advertisers, media organisations, regulators, and government bodies to create industry standards, encourage creativity, and foster collaboration across the sector.

The celebration is expected to bring together some of the biggest names from the advertising, media, and marketing fraternity – spanning traditional mediums like print, radio, and television to modern digital and immersive platforms. The event will also recognise organisations that have remained members of AAAI for over 50 years.

Adding significance to the occasion, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will attend the event as Chief Guest and address the industry during the celebrations.
