Regional OTT platform aha has rolled out aha 3.0, which it describes as its fastest version yet, rebuilt from the ground up. The update is live on the App Store, Google Play and other platforms, and existing users can access it by updating the app. The release strengthens aha’s technology and digital offering as it deepens its connection with Telugu and Tamil audiences.
The redesigned UI/UX features a new home screen with a revamped hero carousel, stories and a dynamic capsule, helping viewers find movies and shows within seconds. Language is built in from the first tap, with the audio language shown across auto previews, thumbnail previews and video playback. Stories, a new in-app feature, offers short-form previews of the platform’s picks and stays available beyond the usual 24-hour window. Viewers can also customise their profiles.
Among the key titles on aha 3.0 is the aha Original thriller Naa Wife Missing, starring Swetha Basu Prasad and Varun Sandesh, who reunite on screen after 18 years. The film is now streaming.
Dilip Chandra, SVP – Product & Analytics, said the focus was on making content discovery more engaging, with each feature addressing a different part of the discovery journey. Ram Siva Linga, COO, called the launch an important step towards building a stronger regional entertainment platform, adding that a strong slate of originals will help expand reach and deepen audience relationships across markets.
