Ashok Leyland, the flagship commercial vehicle manufacturer of the Hinduja Group, has announced a strategic partnership with five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), becoming the team’s official sponsor for the upcoming season. As part of the association, the Ashok Leyland logo will feature on the front right chest of CSK’s iconic yellow jersey.
The partnership was officially unveiled at Ashok Leyland’s headquarters in Chennai by Dheeraj Hinduja, chairman of Ashok Leyland, and Shenu Agarwal, managing director and CEO of the company. The event was attended by CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and India’s 2026 U-19 World Cup-winning captain Ayush Mhatre. The occasion also marked the unveiling of CSK’s new official jersey, symbolising the coming together of two iconic brands closely connected to Chennai’s sporting and business legacy.
As part of the collaboration, Ashok Leyland also introduced a specially designed CSK Fan Bus dedicated to the team’s passionate ‘Whistle Podu’ supporters. The fan bus celebrates the shared spirit of passion, pride, and performance while highlighting the brand’s focus on connecting people and experiences.
Dheeraj Hinduja said the partnership reflects shared values of resilience, consistency, and excellence. CSK managing director KS Viswanathan added that the collaboration brings together two institutions deeply rooted in Chennai with a strong legacy of performance.
The association also continues the long-standing relationship between CSK and the Hinduja Group, building on the successful 15-year partnership between the team and Gulf Oil, another group company.
