Asian Paints Brings Waterproofing to Life with Qawwali Twist in Damp Proof Campaign

Asian Paints has unveiled a new campaign for its waterproofing solution, Damp Proof, blending humour, culture and functionality to address common challenges faced by Indian homeowners. Conceptualized by Ogilvy India, the campaign features Ranbir Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in a lively, engaging narrative.

The film highlights relatable issues such as terrace leakages during monsoons and excessive heat from rooftops in summers. Through witty exchanges and playful banter, the campaign delivers its core message: “Aisi Waisi Waterproofing Nahi – Asian Paints Damp Proof hi lagao,” positioning the product as a reliable and long-lasting solution.

Adding a unique cultural layer, the campaign uses a Qawwali-inspired format to dramatise everyday problems, making the communication both entertaining and memorable. This approach helps the brand move beyond traditional, functional messaging and create a stronger emotional connect with audiences.

Asian Paints Damp Proof, which has been in the market for over 13 years, is designed to protect homes from water seepage and harsh weather conditions. The product also features a heat-reflective coating that can reduce surface temperatures by up to 10°C, helping keep homes cooler during peak summers.

The campaign reflects the brand’s continued focus on combining performance with storytelling, reinforcing its leadership in the waterproofing category. It will be rolled out across television, digital platforms, OTT, social media and cinema, with added visibility through cricket-related integrations.

Through this initiative, Asian Paints positions Damp Proof not just as a functional solution, but as an essential safeguard for long-term home protection.
