Commenting on the launch, Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer at Vi, said:“This expansion isn’t just about scale – it’s about strategic, smart deployment. We’re focusing on high-traffic areas, efficient spectrum use, and providing a high-quality indoor experience. The addition of 1 lakh towers in six months is a testament to our drive for consistent, high-performance connectivity.” Rohit Dubey, Sr. Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy, added:“Our goal was to turn a technical achievement into an emotionally engaging story. By animating telecom towers into a cricket team, we celebrate Vi’s network strength in a joyful, relatable way. One lakh new towers, one unbeatable team.” The campaign is being rolled out as a 360-degree media initiative, spanning TV, OTT platforms, radio, social media, and YouTube, ensuring wide reach and high visibility.

Veet’s New Campaign ‘Smoothest Way to Sexy’ Swaps Self-Doubt for Confidence

Directed by Jessica Sadana, the ad features the iconic 1960s hit ‘Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ Veet has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘Smoothest Way to Sexy’, aiming to break the silence around intimate grooming and promote confidence through comfortable self-care. The campaign positions Veet Pure Sensitive Hair Removal Cream as a painless, effective, and dermatologically tested solution tailored for sensitive skin – including the full bikini area. The ad, directed by Jessica Sadana (known for the web series Adulting), is set to the upbeat rhythm of Brian Hyland’s 1960s classic, ‘Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’. It opens with a group of women hesitating to wear bikinis at the beach. But after using Veet Pure Sensitive, they shed their doubts along with unwanted hair, radiating confidence and self-assurance. Formulated specifically for sensitive skin, Veet Pure Sensitive offers a creamy texture that delivers smooth, irritation-free results – eliminating common pain points such as cuts, nicks, and itchy regrowth. The product has been clinically tested in German labs, reaffirming its promise of safety and effectiveness. Kanika Kalra, Regional Marketing Director – Health, Reckitt South Asia, said:“At Reckitt, we believe in developing products that empower women to feel confident in their skin – especially in areas where conversations have traditionally been silent. With ‘Smoothest Way to Sexy’, we’re not just offering a superior grooming solution, but also starting a bold and relatable conversation about body confidence. Because feeling sexy starts with feeling comfortable, and Veet is here to support that journey – quickly, gently, and effectively.” The campaign underscores themes of body positivity, self-expression, and freedom, all while reinforcing Veet’s leadership in delivering smarter, gentler hair removal solutions for modern women. The TVC is now airing across digital and traditional media platforms, aiming to connect with a new generation seeking not just smooth skin – but the confidence that comes with it.

At the heart of this transformation is a newly designed brand universe that reflects ZEE’s evolution – bridging its storied legacy with modern, tech-driven aspirations. The company also introduced a new brand promise: “Yours Truly, Z,” a message intended to deepen engagement with viewers and stakeholders. The rebranding initiative aligns with ZEE’s larger strategic roadmap to enhance profitability, unlock value-driven opportunities, and strengthen its digital and technological foundations – all while maintaining a strong consumer-first mindset. ZEE plans to expand this brand ethos globally, supporting multiple languages to reinforce its international footprint while staying rooted in its Indian identity. Speaking at the launch, Punit Goenka, MD & CEO of ZEE, stated:“The new visual identity embodies our futuristic, dynamic, and agile outlook – mirroring the strengths of our teams and their ability to seize emerging opportunities. It symbolizes our commitment to embracing new technologies to elevate the entertainment experience for our audiences. With ‘Yours Truly, Z,’ we’re reaffirming our consumer-centric vision and our resolve to stay adaptive in a rapidly evolving media landscape.” The updated brand architecture is built on key pillars: delivering meaningful entertainment, driving positive social impact, and creating consistent value for all stakeholders. The official rollout across ZEE’s entire network of channels and platforms is scheduled for June 8, 2025. As part of its broader transformation, ZEE aims to integrate advanced technologies across content creation, distribution, and monetization – positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in the media and entertainment industry.

36 Years On, Elephant Design Unveils a Bold New Brand Identity

The refreshed look balances strength with playfulness, adding vibrant color accents to its classic black-and-white foundation. From its humble beginnings as a small design studio in Pune in 1989, Elephant Design has grown into one of India’s most respected independent design consultancies. Now, 36 years later, the company has revealed a fresh brand identity that reflects its evolution while staying rooted in its original spirit. Known for its collaborations with some of India’s largest and most iconic brands – such as Unilever, ITC, Mahindra, and Asian Paints – Elephant has played a central role in shaping the visual language of Indian business. According to the company’s press release, the new identity represents a blend of stability and strength with playful agility – a visual expression of the values that have long driven Elephant’s approach to design. The rebrand is described not as a response to fleeting trends, but as an authentic articulation of its enduring philosophy: expressive, dynamic, and purpose-driven design thinking. A notable highlight of the new identity is the inclusion of a Devanagari wordmark, symbolizing the consultancy’s deep cultural connection.“Local is never an afterthought for us, because our processes and insights are homegrown and they stand at the forefront of our practice,” said Ashwini Deshpande, co-founder and director at Elephant Design. She added, “As designers who believe in designing for India – and designing from India for the world – we have ensured that our identity reflects this local-global spirit.” The updated visual identity is being introduced through a completely redesigned website, with other brand assets scheduled for rollout in the coming weeks. The new color palette injects fresh, youthful energy into Elephant’s signature black-and-white, using juicy accent tones to signify its vibrant outlook for the future.

McCann Worldgroup India Wins Silver, Bronze & 5 Merits at One Show Awards 2025

Campaigns for Buckaroo Footwear and ESAF Small Finance Bank celebrated for creativity with social impact. McCann Worldgroup India has emerged as a major winner at the One Show Awards 2025, securing a total of seven honors: one Silver, one Bronze, and five Merit Awards across multiple categories. The agency’s acclaimed campaign “Fit My Feet” for Buckaroo Footwear earned top recognition, winning a Silver in IP & Product Design and a Bronze in the Health & Wellness category. The campaign also picked up four Merit Awards for its innovative approach and wide-reaching impact. “Fit My Feet” addressed the needs of individuals born with clubfoot, a condition that affects tens of thousands of children annually in India. The initiative introduced an affordable, functional footwear solution that could be easily customized. Since its launch in early 2024, over 228,000 pairs have been distributed through a nationwide network of more than 4,500 cobblers, significantly enhancing mobility and independence for those affected. Additionally, McCann’s campaign “Dabba Savings Account” for ESAF Small Finance Bank received a Merit Awardin the Direct Marketing category. The campaign cleverly reimagined the humble steel dabba—a staple in Indian kitchens—by adding a hidden compartment for saving money. This small but powerful innovation promoted financial literacy and inclusion among rural women, contributing to the opening of over 120,000 new bank accounts in underserved communities, without relying on traditional advertising. Prasoon Joshi, Chairman of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific and CEO & CCO of McCann Worldgroup India, reflected on the wins: “It’s deeply fulfilling to work on ideas grounded in empathy and everyday realities that resonate on a global stage. These campaigns are a reminder that creativity, when driven by purpose, can become a genuine force for change—whether it’s improving mobility for those with clubfoot or enabling rural women through financial empowerment. I’m grateful to the jury for this recognition, which I accept on behalf of my entire team committed to making ideas matter.”

Hyundai Motor India Reports ₹5,640 Cr Profit in FY25, Eyes Growth in EVs and Exports

Record SUV contribution, strong rural traction, and an ambitious product pipeline shape Hyundai’s future strategy. Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹5,640 crore for the financial year 2024–25 (FY25), reflecting a 7% decline from ₹6,060 crore in the previous fiscal. Annual revenue stood at ₹69,193 crore, slightly down from ₹69,829 crore in FY24. Despite these modest drops, the company highlighted resilient profitability, record-high SUV sales, and its strategic focus on electric mobility and global exports. SUVs accounted for 68.5% of domestic sales, the highest ever, with Hyundai seeing consistent demand from both urban and rural markets. The Creta continued its dominance in the midsize SUV segment, holding over 30% market share, and the company formally entered the EV space with the launch of Creta Electric. For the quarter ending March 31, 2025, Hyundai posted a PAT of ₹1,614 crore, a 4% drop from ₹1,677 crore in Q4 FY24, largely due to softer domestic sales. However, quarterly revenue from operations rose 1.5% year-on-year to ₹17,940 crore, up from ₹17,671 crore. In FY25, HMIL sold 599,000 units domestically and exported 163,000 units, reinforcing its stronghold in emerging global markets even as domestic momentum eased. Looking ahead, the company expects domestic growth to align with industry trends of low single-digit expansion in FY26, while targeting a 7–8% increase in exports, driven by its growing global focus. Hyundai also revealed a bold product roadmap leading up to FY2030, featuring 26 new models: 20 internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, 6 electric vehicles (EVs), and planned hybrid powertrains. Capacity will be significantly boosted with the upcoming Pune plant, signaling Hyundai’s next phase of expansion in India. Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of HMIL, commented: “The launch of models like Creta Electric and Alcazar facelift, along with consistent product updates, helped us retain our competitive edge. Our strong brand equity in global markets supported export volumes amid domestic headwinds. FY25 reflects our operational resilience, underpinned by strong realizations and disciplined cost management.” Kim emphasized that Hyundai remains cautiously optimistic on the domestic outlook, citing macroeconomic uncertainties and softer consumer sentiment. “While domestic growth may remain subdued, we’re targeting a 7–8% growth in exports by leveraging our brand legacy in key markets,” he added.

ENIL Q4 Profit Up 36% to ₹12 Cr on Non-FCT, Digital Growth

Despite annual dip, Radio Mirchi operator posts strong Q4 performance amid challenging media landscape. Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL), the parent company of Radio Mirchi, reported a consolidated profit of ₹12 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, marking a 36.3% year-on-year increase from ₹8.8 crore in Q4 FY24. The growth was attributed to strong momentum in non-FCT (free commercial time) formats and a continued push into digital offerings. Revenue from operations for the quarter grew 5% year-on-year to ₹158 crore. Despite the strong Q4 performance, ENIL’s full-year profit for FY25 dropped significantly to ₹12 crore, down from ₹33 crore in FY24, reflecting broader challenges in the media and advertising ecosystem. “Despite an overall challenging media and advertising environment, ENIL posted a resilient performance, driven by sharp growth in its Non-FCT and digital segments,” the company stated during its Q4 earnings call on May 17. For the full year, domestic revenue increased by 9.4% to ₹526 crore, while consolidated revenue stood at ₹544 crore. The company’s international business contributed ₹19.2 crore, and ENIL closed the fiscal with a cash reserve of ₹368 crore. Yatish Mehrishi, CEO of ENIL, highlighted the strategic focus on diversification: “Our non-FCT revenues grew by 44.8% in Q4 and over 20% for the full year, supported by a vibrant mix of events, IPs, and brand solutions.” With its growing digital and experiential portfolio, ENIL continues to pivot beyond traditional radio, positioning itself for sustainable growth in a shifting media landscape.
