Warner Bros. Discovery to Rebrand Max as HBO Max, Reinforcing Premium Focus

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has announced that it will rebrand its streaming platform Max back to HBO Max this summer, marking a strategic return to the prestigious HBO label. The move, unveiled at the company’s Upfront presentation in New York, aims to strengthen the platform’s identity as a destination for premium, high-quality entertainment. The rebranding is positioned as a reaffirmation of the HBO legacy, long synonymous with groundbreaking storytelling and award-winning programming. WBD president and CEO David Zaslav emphasized that the global growth of the streaming service is anchored in the consistent quality of its content. “Today, we’re bringing back HBO –  a name that stands for the very best in media –  to accelerate our momentum,” said Zaslav. The announcement was further detailed by JB Perrette, CEO of Streaming, and Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO and Max Content. Perrette noted that HBO Max will continue to stand out by curating “something distinct and great for adults and families,” rather than trying to be everything to everyone. Bloys added that HBO Max better reflects the platform’s current promise to viewers: content that is “unique, curated, and worth paying for.” The return of the HBO branding signals a strategic pivot back to what audiences most associate with prestige streaming –  a move that could help WBD sharpen its competitive edge in an increasingly crowded streaming market.

Netflix Expands Ads Suite to 12 Countries, Set for EMEA Launch Next Week

Netflix is accelerating the global rollout of its in-house advertising platform, Netflix Ads Suite, with a scheduled launch across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) next week. By June 2025, the platform will be live in all 12 of Netflix’s ad-supported markets, further strengthening the streaming giant’s position in the advertising ecosystem. The Ads Suite is currently active in key regions including the United States and Canada. The expansion was officially announced during Netflix’s 2025 Upfront event, where the company showcased its growing value proposition for advertisers, driven by rising engagement on its ad-supported subscription tier. A Full-Fledged Toolkit for Advertisers Netflix Ads Suite offers a variety of innovative, performance-driven advertising tools designed to help brands make meaningful connections with engaged viewers. Key offerings include: The suite also supports programmatic ad buying, advanced audience targeting, and cross-platform measurement through third-party tools like Nielsen ONE and DoubleVerify. A Unique Value Proposition Netflix’s Vice President of Advertising, Peter Naylor, emphasized that what sets Netflix apart is its ability to merge “art and science” – offering premium entertainment experiences alongside cutting-edge technology. “A lot of platforms offer either great tech or great content. Netflix delivers both,” said Naylor. “Because our audience is uniquely engaged and highly attentive, every advertising dollar spent here delivers outsized value.” With full control over its advertising technology, Netflix aims to deliver better measurement, more dynamic formats, and fresher ad innovations tailored to modern viewer behavior. “The Ads Suite is built to help brands tap into the magic of what makes Netflix, well, Netflix,” said Naylor. “We’re just getting started.” As Netflix continues its strategic expansion in the ad space, the Ads Suite is poised to become a critical pillar in its growth, appealing to advertisers seeking quality reach, creative flexibility, and a premium environment.

Sensodyne Launches Nationwide Campaign Featuring Real Stories to Raise Tooth Sensitivity Awareness

Sensodyne, the leading oral care brand from Haleon, has unveiled a powerful new campaign aimed at educating consumers across India about the often overlooked issue of tooth sensitivity. Comprising 18 short films in nine regional languages, the campaign brings real life experiences to the forefront, showing how untreated sensitivity can significantly disrupt everyday life. Real Stories, Real Impact Each film portrays authentic consumer experiences – moments where simple pleasures like enjoying ice cream or sipping hot tea are interrupted by the sharp sting of tooth pain. The campaign not only highlights these disruptions but also explains the science behind sensitivity. It illustrates how enamel erosion – a common but underestimated problem – can expose the inner dentine layer of the tooth, triggering intense nerve pain when left untreated. Raising Awareness with Science and Empathy Kishlay Seth, Category Lead – Oral Healthcare at Haleon, emphasized the campaign’s educational purpose: “Tooth sensitivity is often brushed off as a minor issue. However, when ignored, it can worsen over time. Our goal with this campaign is to help consumers understand one of its key causes – enamel erosion. By combining real stories with scientific clarity, we’re urging people not to delay care.” Seth added that the campaign leverages science-backed formulations and a hyper-local communication strategy to make oral health education more accessible and relatable to people across India. A Multi-Platform Rollout To ensure maximum reach, Sensodyne is deploying the campaign across television, digital platforms, print, and social media. The multi-language approach reinforces Sensodyne’s commitment to reaching a diverse audience, from urban centers to regional heartlands. A Call to Action At its core, the campaign serves as both an emotional reminder and a practical call to action. By highlighting how common and disruptive tooth sensitivity can be – and by showing that it is both preventable and treatable—Sensodyne continues its mission of empowering consumers to prioritize oral health and take meaningful steps toward relief.

Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee’s New Ad Film Brews Spontaneous Connections

Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee has rolled out a heartwarming new digital campaign celebrating the spontaneity of urban life and the simple joy of shared moments. Titled with the playful catchphrase “Coffee!, here?”, the film positions cold coffee not just as a beverage, but as a catalyst for real, unplanned connections—especially among today’s young, social, and fast-moving audience. A Sip That Sparks a Story Set in the everyday bustle of a metro train, the ad follows a fleeting interaction between a young woman and a man. As she sketches him in her notebook, their eyes meet and a silent, almost cinematic chemistry unfolds. With nothing but a can of Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee exchanged between them, the moment becomes a shared escape – brief, warm, and unexpectedly memorable. Backed by the brand’s tagline “Too Cool to Have It Solo”, the campaign encapsulates the essence of youthful camaraderie, showing how even the shortest moments can turn into lasting memories with the right spark – and the right sip. Coffee with a Side of Connection “Cold Coffee consumption is booming in India,” said Partha Biswas, President & Head of RTD Business, Tata Consumer Products. “Our new ready-to-drink range is indulgent, international, and perfect for today’s on-the-go lifestyle. With Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee, we’re inviting people to say yes to the unexpected – a chance encounter, a shared laugh, or just a moment of connection the instant a can is popped open.” Kiran Ramamurthy, President at 82.5 Communications, which conceptualized the campaign, added, “Coffee has long been a symbol of connection. With this campaign, we show how Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee goes beyond being just a drink – it’s a cue for conversations and genuine moments in a fast-paced world. It fits perfectly with a generation that values authenticity and spontaneity.” A Trio of Tempting Flavours Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee is available in three rich, internationally inspired flavours: Packaged for convenience, these ready-to-drink options are available at major retail outlets and online platforms across India, aimed at making premium cold coffee accessible anytime, anywhere. Campaign Takeaway By combining a relatable urban setting, a feel-good story, and the universal appeal of cold coffee, Tata Coffee Grand’s new campaign film positions the brand as more than a refreshment – it’s a trigger for small but significant everyday magic. Whether it’s a meet-cute on a train or a shared moment with a friend, sometimes all it takes is one sip to spark something special.

Mountain Dew Launches ‘Peaks of Courage’ to Spotlight Nepal’s Mountaineering Legacy

Mountain Dew has launched the ‘Peaks of Courage’ initiative in Nepal, aiming to celebrate the nation’s rich mountaineering heritage and inspire a global audience to explore beyond the well-known Everest. In collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and amplified globally by Discovery Channel, this campaign seeks to spotlight Nepal’s lesser-known yet formidable peaks, thereby expanding the country’s global identity beyond Everest. Celebrating Nepal’s Mountaineering Legacy Nepal’s mountaineering narrative has traditionally been centered around a select few summits. ‘Peaks of Courage’ challenges this narrative by emphasizing that Nepal is home to numerous challenging climbs, each with its own unique story and significance. The initiative aims to highlight these untold stories and the spirit of adventure that defines Nepal’s mountaineering culture. Empowering Local Communities The campaign is not only about showcasing Nepal’s peaks but also about creating real, sustainable opportunities for Sherpas, climbing guides, and local travel communities. By promoting lesser-known peaks, the initiative encourages year-round tourism, which can lead to economic benefits for these communities. This approach aligns with NTB’s strategic vision to invite the world to experience Nepal’s diverse landscapes and cultures. Innovative Digital Engagement To bring the initiative to life, Mountain Dew has unveiled a campaign film set against Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes. The film follows a seasoned Sherpa and an international climber, revealing that the true spirit of climbing isn’t just about reaching a summit –  it’s about seeking what lies beyond it. Each Mountain Dew pack features a QR code that unlocks an interactive digital hub, mdpeaksofcourage.com, offering exclusive insights into Nepal’s 8K, 7K, and 6K peaks, detailed route plans, difficulty levels, real-time conditions, and invaluable Sherpa wisdom. This platform serves as a global resource for adventure-seekers to learn, plan, and prepare for their next big climb. A New Lens on Adventure Tarun Bhagat, Chief Marketing Officer – South Asia, PepsiCo India, stated, “While Mt. Everest has long captured the interest of climbers globally, Nepal’s mountaineering story goes far beyond a single summit. Countless peaks remain underexplored, and so do the stories of the courageous climbers who scale them. With ‘Peaks of Courage’, Mountain Dew has set out to change that, using our platform to spotlight Nepal’s lesser-known summits and the fearless spirit behind them.” Vishal Singh Thakur, Country Head, Varun Beverages Nepal, added, “With ‘Peaks of Courage’, Mountain Dew spotlights the rich mountaineering terrain of Nepal and taps into the deep-rooted spirit of adventure that defines our country. The campaign is about celebrating local pride while inviting the audience to see Nepal through a new, more daring lens.” Looking Ahead As the ‘Peaks of Courage’ initiative continues to unfold, it is expected to inspire a new generation of adventurers to explore Nepal’s diverse peaks. By highlighting the untold stories of these climbs and the communities that support them, Mountain Dew, in partnership with NTB and Discovery Channel, is redefining the narrative of Nepal’s mountaineering legacy.
