Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has launched “The Dad Joke Club,” an AI-powered three-part micro drama series for Father’s Day, reimagining a world where every dad joke earns its own dedicated fan club – except the fans here aren’t family members, but Crompton appliances around the house.

Built on the relatable insight that fathers find humour in almost anything, the campaign shows dads delivering their signature one-liners to an unconventional audience of fans, lights, kitchen appliances and other household products. Rather than rolling their eyes, these appliances become enthusiastic listeners, reacting to punchlines and turning ordinary household moments into entertaining vignettes.

Using AI-enabled storytelling, the series brings these interactions to life, with appliances nodding along and responding to jokes as active participants rather than passive props. The result is a light-hearted narrative blending technology, humour and everyday domestic life.

The campaign extends Crompton’s ongoing investment in AI-led storytelling, following earlier experiments across Lighting, Pumps, cricket-season content and festive campaigns. Here, AI functions not just as a visual tool but as a narrative device, turning products into expressive characters within the story.
