Curly Tales’ Sunday Brunch Heads to Netflix From October 4

Curly Tales’ digital IP Sunday Brunch, hosted by founder and editor-in-chief Kamiya Jani, will make its Netflix debut on October 4, with its new season available across 90 countries. Created by Fork Media Group, the show will continue on YouTube alongside its Netflix release, with a new episode dropping every Sunday at 12pm.

The upcoming season will have 12 episodes featuring conversations, recipes, home tours and interactions with personalities from entertainment, sports and popular culture. The show has run for more than 300 episodes and has featured names including Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. According to the company, the IP has recorded more than 600 million views across platforms.

With the Netflix release, Sunday Brunch becomes the second YouTube-originated show to get distribution on the streaming platform across 90 countries, following Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent.

Jani said the show was always about sitting across the table, sharing a meal and getting to know the person behind the celebrity, and that its essence did not have to change to make it bigger. She added that Sunday Brunch changed the digital landscape, and it is only fair that it now has a global platform like Netflix.

Sammar Verma, group CEO and founder of Fork Media Group, said the company was among the first to see YouTube as no less than an OTT, which led it to move to IP-led structured programming across six of its channels. He said the step up to Netflix is a testament to the belief that high-quality content finds its audience on YouTube.

The new season premieres on October 4 at 12pm on both YouTube and Netflix.
