Ranbir Kapoor has stepped into FMCG as the founder of Flux Theory, a new shower brand built with Advay Jhunjhunwala and venture-building platform Think9. The brand debuts with a film that brings together five of his best-known screen characters: Barfi, Bunny, Jordan, Ayan and Shiva.
The film places them in one fictional setting around a simple idea: a person isn’t one fixed personality. It frames the shower as a daily moment to choose which version of yourself to be, with the question “Who do you want to be today?” at its centre.
Each character is matched to one of Flux Theory’s five shower gels, defined by a personality and a fragrance. Lover is a moisturising gel with gold leaf and argan oil. Rebel is an exfoliating gel with charcoal. Dreamer is a hydrating foaming body wash. Sport is a refreshing detan gel, and Sage is a purifying deep-cleansing gel.
Kapoor said every character he has played has stayed with him, and each is a different part of him, as they are for everyone. Moods change with the day, and he wanted a brand that feels as alive as that thought. That’s why the film is larger than life, a little chaotic and full of energy.
Jhunjhunwala said putting five recognisable versions of Ranbir in one film shows people what the brand is about at once. Each gel has a clear skin purpose, but its fragrance and personality also speak to how you want to feel.
The collection is available on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Zepto, Tira, Instamart and the brand’s website.
