Google will bring its Gemini Spark AI agent to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in India next month, according to a report by The Mint. Unveiled at Google I/O 2026, the feature has so far been available only to paid users in the US, powered by the Gemini 3.6 Flash model.
Gemini Spark automates digital tasks and continues operating in the background, even when users step away from their devices. It integrates directly with Google Workspace apps, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Slides, enabling a hands-off approach to routine digital work.
Users can set up recurring tasks and workflows such as monitoring emails, organising information, drafting responses, and generating summaries. Google said the agent can also study a user’s previously sent emails to build a personalised writing style guide for future drafts.
The company noted that support for third-party app integrations is in the pipeline, expanding Gemini Spark’s utility beyond the Workspace ecosystem.
Google outlined practical use cases for the agent, including tracking travel bookings, planning weekend activities, monitoring subscription renewals, organising wedding RSVPs, checking sports court availability, and drafting replies to customer queries.
Describing the vision behind the launch, Google said Gemini Spark represents the next chapter for its AI ambitions — agents built to put the world’s information directly to work for users, allowing people to simply ask what’s on their mind while Google handles the rest.
