Himalaya’s ‘Mom-Mode On’ puts a worried mother at the centre of teenage skincare

Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash has launched ‘Mom-Mode On’, a campaign built around how mothers respond when their teenage daughters develop pimples and pimple marks. The film uses the mother-daughter relationship to frame teenage skincare and to push a shift from regular soap to products formulated for pimple-prone skin.

The film follows a mother who starts researching skincare after noticing her daughter’s pimples. She speaks to other mothers, watches dermatologists’ advice and looks into Neem in teenage skincare, before switching her daughter’s everyday cleanser from soap to Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash. It also draws a distinction between pimples and the marks they can leave behind, presenting gentle, pimple-focused cleansing as an alternative to soap.

The face wash features five parts of Neem: tender leaves, mature leaves, stem, flower and fruit. The film presents it as a daily cleansing option for teenage skin.

Rajesh Krishnamurthy, business director, Consumer Products Division, Himalaya Wellness, said teenage skin comes with its own concerns, and mothers often guide their children towards the right choices. He said the campaign builds awareness of addressing pimple marks as well as pimples, while encouraging a move to gentle, targeted cleansing. It aims to strengthen Himalaya’s relevance among young consumers and reinforce its commitment to effective, nature-backed skincare.
