House of McDowell’s Soda has launched “Yaari Ki Nayi Vibe,” a new campaign featuring longtime brand ambassador Kartik Aaryan, evolving the brand’s established friendship platform to reflect how today’s generation experiences time with friends.
Rather than centering on simply getting together, the campaign shifts focus to spontaneity – the idea that an ordinary hangout can turn into something memorable through shared, unplanned experiences. The film follows Aaryan and his friends as a regular plan takes an unexpected turn, with a twist of the McDowell’s Soda can acting as the catalyst for the shift. The film also brings back a reimagined version of the brand’s iconic “Aao Twist Karein” music cue, giving it a more contemporary sound.
Alongside the campaign, House of McDowell’s Soda has refreshed its visual identity, introducing a more premium can design featuring orange, teal, and silver elements – a shift in visual expression while retaining the brand’s core identity.
Aanandita Datta, VP, Marketing and Category Head at Diageo India, said yaari has always been central to the brand, and the campaign was designed to reflect how friendship itself is evolving – moving beyond togetherness to the experiences and memories built along the way.
Kartik Smetacek, Chief Creative Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi India, called this the brand’s most significant reinvention in years, with the soda can positioned as a symbolic trigger – each twist representing a gateway into new experiences and energy for the brand’s audience.
