The International Cricket Council (ICC) has invited bids to appoint a marketing and public relations agency for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. The mandate is being issued through its wholly owned subsidiary, ICC Business Corporation FZ LLC (IBC).
The selected agency will be responsible for developing and executing an integrated marketing and communications strategy for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia during October and November 2027.
Under the mandate, the agency will work closely with the ICC, the Cricket World Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) and other stakeholders to drive campaign strategy, creative development, content production, milestone activations, media relations and promotional initiatives across key markets.
The ICC is inviting agencies with experience in delivering marketing and PR campaigns for major international sporting events, particularly in Southern Africa. Interested agencies must submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) by August 27, 2026.
As part of the application process, bidders are required to submit a signed non-disclosure agreement, a company profile of up to 15 pages showcasing relevant experience, and details of the proposed project lead.
The ICC stated that only applicants meeting the eligibility criteria and completing the required non-disclosure agreement will receive the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents.
With the bidding process now underway, the ICC is looking to appoint a strategic communications partner capable of delivering a high-impact marketing campaign for one of cricket’s biggest global tournaments.
