MINI India has rolled out a new campaign film for the MINI Countryman starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, built around the model’s bigger footprint, added space and upgraded features – while staying true to the brand’s signature quirk.

Conceptualised by Sociowash Network, directed by Vikalp Chhabra and produced by Ankit Ahuja of Red Comet Films, the film skips the standard product-demo format in favour of a playful, conversational back-and-forth between Kapoor Khan and the car itself. She arrives expecting the compact MINI she knows, only to be met with a considerably larger, more versatile Countryman – and the film unfolds as a series of discoveries rather than a feature-by-feature pitch.
Shruti Arora, head of marketing at MINI, BMW Group India, said the brand wanted to introduce the biggest MINI yet in a way that stayed true to its bold, fun-first identity, calling Kapoor Khan’s mix of wit and confidence a natural match for the reveal.
Ahuja echoed that spirit, noting the goal was to let the film feel spontaneous and cinematic, letting Kapoor Khan’s personality and the Countryman’s character play off each other organically rather than following a scripted format.
The new Countryman comes with a roomier cabin, a circular OLED display, and refreshed interiors – positioning it as a genuine space and tech upgrade within the MINI lineup. The campaign is currently live across MINI India’s digital and social platforms.
