Mercedes-Benz India has signed a multi-year title partnership with the Indian Padel Tour (IPT) for the 2026–27 season, marking the luxury carmaker’s first foray into competitive padel in the country. The partnership was facilitated by Fuse India, Omnicom Media’s sports and entertainment agency.
Organised by PadelPark India, the IPT has run 37 tournaments across seven cities since 2024, drawing over 5,000 participants. Under the new partnership, the Mercedes-Benz Indian Padel Tour 2026–27 will span 19 tournaments across 10 cities, comprising 10 City Opens, five Grand Slams, and four Special IP events. The season kicks off in Mumbai from 31 July to 2 August 2026 and wraps in Bengaluru in June 2027.
Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said the brand’s desirability goes beyond its products to the experiences and communities it builds, and that the padel partnership reflects its push into culture-shaping, performance-led lifestyle trends.
Jigar Rambhia, head of Fuse India, said padel is gaining strong momentum in India, and the tie-up brings together a global brand and the country’s leading competitive padel platform at a pivotal moment for the sport’s growth.
Jigar Doshi, co-founder of PadelPark India, said the IPT was built to give padel a genuine competitive ecosystem, and that Mercedes-Benz’s backing signals a shared commitment to growing the sport and positioning India as a major emerging market globally.
