Mohalla Tech Teams Up With Double Tap Films to Turn 75+ Pratilipi Stories Into Microdramas

Mohalla Tech, the parent company of ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV, has partnered with Double Tap Films, the microdrama studio of Pratilipi, to distribute over 75 stories from Pratilipi’s catalogue across its platforms.

Under the partnership, stories that have gained traction on Pratilipi will be adapted into microdramas by Double Tap Films and distributed on ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV – giving written stories a route into short-form video as demand grows for regional, episodic digital entertainment.

Manohar Singh Charan, co-founder and CFO of Mohalla Tech, said the partnership helps expand the content ecosystem beyond traditional production models, tapping into the vast pool of original stories from budding Indian storytellers while building a stronger content pipeline and creating more opportunities across the digital entertainment economy.

Pratilipi’s catalogue spans multiple genres and Indian languages, with selected stories chosen based on demonstrated audience engagement on the platform.

Sharlton Menezes, VP of IP and Key Partnerships at Pratilipi and Double Tap Films, said the collaboration gives proven stories new life at scale, while opening avenues for writers, creators and production partners across the evolving digital storytelling landscape.
