Netflix has launched Southverse, a dedicated collection page for its Indian members, bringing together films and series from southern India in one curated space.
Available on the Netflix homepage and through search, the hub organises titles across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other southern languages by genre, stars, and mood, making it easier for viewers to discover content from the region.
The collection features a mix of theatrical hits and originals, including Peddi, Blast, Amaran, Maharaja, Court: State vs A Nobody, and Lucky Bhaskar, alongside Netflix Originals such as Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, Made in Korea, and Super Subbu. Upcoming additions include the romantic-comedy series #Love and Legacy.
The launch coincides with Netflix’s broader content push, with the platform planning to release an average of one new title every week from southern India’s film industries for the remainder of 2026. This slate will span both post-theatrical releases and Netflix Originals, signalling a sustained, long-term investment in the region’s storytelling.
The move underscores just how central South Indian content has become to Netflix’s global performance. According to the platform, at least one film from southern India featured on its India Top 10 Films list every week in 2025. Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films also appeared on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list in 39 of the 52 weeks that year, while South Indian titles found a place on Top 10 lists across 59 countries outside India.
Southverse is now live for all Netflix members in India via the homepage and search.
