Pocket FM has launched Sherpa, an AI-powered fiction writing platform for creators developing stories that run across hundreds of episodes. It combines specialised AI models and agents for planning, research, writing, evaluation and long-term narrative memory.
At its core is what Pocket FM calls “Narrative Intelligence”, which tracks characters, settings, relationships, conflicts and events as a story grows. The platform treats a story as a connected world rather than a string of standalone episodes.
Each agent has a defined job. The Ideation Agent develops concepts, the Planning Agent shapes structure, and the Research Agent adds factual and contextual detail. A prose agent builds scenes and episodes, while the Feedback Agent evaluates drafts and suggests revisions. The Narrative World Model holds it all together, so an event from 50 or 100 episodes earlier can still shape what happens later.
Co-Founder Prateek Dixit said the next breakthrough in generative AI for entertainment will come from systems that understand stories, not just models that write better sentences, with creators staying in control of the vision.
The platform draws on Pocket FM’s ecosystem of over 770,000 titles, 550,000 creators and 5.5 billion hours of playtime, along with minute-by-minute engagement data. Head of AI Vasu Sharma said its proprietary models improve as more content is created and consumed, giving one creator capabilities that once needed entire studios.
Pocket FM reported that annualised content production has grown 75-fold to over 2.5 million hours, with a 10-fold rise in blockbuster titles. Early user Ajit Kumar, whose story had 275.2 million plays as of August 2026, said Sherpa helps writers keep going without replacing them.
