Prime Video has added Sony LIV to its add-on subscription lineup in India, letting viewers stream the platform’s movies, shows and live sports without leaving the Prime Video app. It works across mobile, web, Fire TV, smart TVs and other supported devices, with a monthly plan at Rs 399 and an annual plan at Rs 1,499.
The catalogue spans over 450 films and 300 shows in Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Gujarati. Originals like the Scam franchise and Gullak sit alongside Sitaare Zameen Par and TV staples such as Kaun Banega Crorepati, Indian Idol and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. New episodes will arrive daily, including KBC Season 18 and Indian Idol Season 17.
Sports fans get bilateral India cricket, UEFA Champions League, French Open, Commonwealth Games and UFC. India’s tour of New Zealand, covering Tests, ODIs and T20Is, streams from October 22. Prime Video India’s Gaurav Bhasin said the tie-up brings television’s daily rhythm and a near-continuous sports calendar to the platform. SPNI’s Rajesh Kaul called it an important step in widening Sony LIV’s reach, pointing to the upcoming Sony VIZHA in Tamil and a new season of Kon Honaar Crorepati in Marathi.
Subscribers can manage billing, search across subscriptions, use a consolidated watchlist and download titles offline, all within Prime Video. Sony LIV joins more than 30 OTT services already available through the add-on model.
