In a move that signals both growth and global unification, Dubai-based creative agency Socialize has officially rebranded to We Are Social, aligning itself fully with the global network it joined back in 2018.
Founded by Akanksha Goel nearly 15 years ago, Socialize was one of the Middle East’s first social-first agencies-well before social media marketing was the juggernaut it is today. The rebrand marks a new chapter, not a farewell to its roots.
“This next chapter, as We Are Social, isn’t about leaving that legacy behind. It’s about building on it,” said Goel.
This transformation is part of We Are Social’s global strategy to unify its brand presence across key regions and expand capabilities-particularly in data, strategy, and platform-first creativity-while responding to the increasing demand for culturally nuanced, socially-led campaigns in the Middle East.
The agency’s client list speaks volumes: from Sony to Sephora, Starbucks to Switz, and even Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council, We Are Social (formerly Socialize) continues to drive storytelling that connects brands to consumers through digital-first, culturally relevant narratives.
Notably, its growth hasn’t been limited to big consumer brands. Since 2019, the agency has posted over 10% annual revenue growth from public sector and government communications, signaling a broader shift in how institutions are engaging with citizens-less top-down messaging, more social connection.
With this rebrand, We Are Social now plants a stronger flag in the Middle East, joining its global siblings in 15 cities including London, New York, Paris, Milan, and Singapore. And it does so with momentum: sharper capabilities, deeper cultural understanding, and a track record of creative that doesn’t just sell, but sticks.
As digital gets more personal and platforms more fragmented, We Are Social’s unified identity might just be what keeps global creativity feeling local-and locally born brilliance going global.
