Sony Sports Network has rolled out its broadcast plan for the India Tour of England 2026, confirming live coverage in five languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and for the first time, Kannada.
The white-ball series, kicking off July 1, includes five T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals, with the network positioning the multilingual push as a step toward making the tour more accessible to regional audiences across India. The addition of Kannada commentary marks a first for an India-England tour on the network, expanding its language footprint as it continues to chase deeper regional viewership.
Returning alongside live coverage is Extraaa Innings, the network’s long-format cricket analysis show featuring former players and presenters breaking down match action through the series.
The commentary line-up spans a mix of legends and current voices. English coverage brings together Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Graeme Swann and Sanjana Ganesan for the T20Is, with Ambati Rayudu joining for the ODIs. Hindi coverage features Shardul Thakur, Ajay Jadeja, Vivek Razdan and Gaurav Kapur, among others, while Tamil and Telugu panels include former players like WV Raman, KS Bharat and Venkatapathy Raju.
The newly introduced Kannada panel features Sujith Somasunder, Sumath Bhat and Amit Verma, with additions for the ODI leg.
The series runs from July 1 to July 19, with Sony Sports Network betting on language depth as a key differentiator in its cricket broadcast strategy this season.
