Sony Sports Network Launches ‘India Ki Sabse Badi Party’ With Pankaj Tripathi

Sony Pictures Networks India has launched ‘India Ki Sabse Badi Party’, a new multilingual campaign featuring actor Pankaj Tripathi, to build excitement around the Indian football team’s upcoming international matches against Panama, Brazil and Uruguay. The campaign went live on September 25, timed with India’s three-match window, Panama on September 25, Brazil on October 3, and Uruguay on October 6.

The campaign’s central film builds around a party invitation for October 3, with the reveal that the real occasion is India’s match against Brazil in Kolkata. Running 65 seconds, the film has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada to reach audiences across language markets.

Beyond the main film, the campaign extends into a fan-led series featuring Tripathi with football supporters from different parts of the country, alongside a short-form series titled ‘Tripathi Ji Ki Tuition’, where the actor takes on football lessons himself. Sony Sports Network is also planning social content featuring Tripathi interacting with the Indian football team, including captain Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sports and International, Sony Pictures Networks India, said the campaign was built to match the scale of these historic fixtures, calling Tripathi’s relatability central to turning the matches into a shared national occasion.

Tripathi echoed the sentiment, describing football’s ability to unite people and calling the campaign an entertaining, joyful celebration of that energy.

The matches will stream live on Sony Sports Network, Sony AATH, and Sony LIV.
