Meta has unveiled Muse Charm, a compact standalone device built to let users interact directly with its Muse AI assistant through real-time voice, without needing to open a smartphone app. The device was showcased by CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the company’s Connect 2026 keynote, alongside new AI glasses and VR hardware, positioned as another entry point into Meta’s growing AI ecosystem.

Muse Charm is a small, pocket-friendly gadget featuring a display that shows an animated avatar representing Muse. Meta describes it as purpose-built for conversing with the assistant, packing a full real-time voice experience into a portable form factor. The device includes a front-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor in the top-right corner, and an action button on the left side, allowing users to activate Muse instantly via fingerprint rather than unlocking a phone.

Zuckerberg positioned the device as a faster alternative for accessing Muse when users aren’t wearing Meta’s smart glasses, extending the assistant’s reach to people who prefer a standalone gadget over wearables. Its compact size means it can be carried in a pocket or attached to a keychain.

Beyond conversation, Muse is designed to act on users’ behalf, powered by a dedicated virtual environment called Muse Secure VM that enables it to send emails, book tickets, and complete forms. Meta has also said Muse retains context from earlier conversations to inform future tasks.

Pricing and full specifications remain undisclosed. Meta has confirmed Muse Charm is targeted for a holiday-season launch in December, with more details expected later this year.
