Truecaller has unveiled ‘Secure Calls,’ a new feature under its Truecaller for Business platform, aimed at strengthening protection against call spoofing. The launch builds on Truecaller’s Verified Business solution and introduces call-level verification to ensure each business call is authenticated in real time.
With Secure Calls, businesses subscribing to Truecaller for Business can authenticate outbound calls via a secure backend handshake. This process confirms the legitimacy of the caller, ensuring it’s the actual company reaching out and not an impersonator. Verified calls will display a ‘Secure Call’ label within the app, offering consumers greater confidence in answering them.
“Secure Calls is our next step in building trust in communication,” said Fredrik Kjell, COO, Truecaller. “Spoofed calls are a growing threat. By offering a visual ‘Secure Call’ confirmation, we’re helping consumers identify genuine business calls instantly and empowering companies to safeguard their brand identity.”
NoBroker, a leading Indian proptech platform, has already implemented Secure Calls. Akhil Gupta, Founder and Chief Tech & Product Officer, said, “Scam protection is now a trust imperative. Secure Calls not only safeguards our users but also allows us to personalise communication, ensuring relevance and clarity.”
The feature helps brands maintain trust by reducing identity misuse and ensures users can easily spot verified, securely signed calls. It adds a new layer of transparency to business-consumer communication.
Secure Calls is now rolling out and will be available to businesses globally.
