E-pharmacy platform Truemeds has launched a new campaign featuring actor Paresh Rawal to raise awareness about substitute medicines that can help reduce the financial burden of long-term treatments.
The campaign includes two brand films that reflect everyday situations faced by families dealing with recurring medical expenses. Both narratives highlight how the rising cost of medicines can quietly strain household finances, particularly for patients managing chronic conditions.
In the first film, a father postpones his own medical treatment while prioritising expenses for his daughter. The story captures a common reality in many households, where individuals delay or skip their medication due to financial constraints. The film then introduces substitute medicines as a possible solution that can help reduce treatment costs.
The second film focuses on consumer behaviour around everyday savings. While people actively look for discounts on groceries or daily purchases, many assume that medicine prices are fixed and unavoidable. The film challenges this belief by presenting substitute medicines as a practical alternative that can lower monthly medicine bills without compromising quality.
Akshat Nayyar, co-founder and CEO of Truemeds, said that medicine expenses often become a hidden monthly stress for families. According to him, the platform aims to help individuals discover reliable, lower-cost medicine options so they can continue treatment without financial pressure.
Paresh Rawal added that many families struggle with recurring medicine costs, especially for long-term health conditions. He noted that Truemeds helps people access affordable alternatives while maintaining quality and reliability.
Through its platform, users can upload prescriptions or search medicines online, after which health advisors or doctors recommend scientifically matched substitute medicines sourced from pharmaceutical manufacturers across India.
