Urban Company has stepped into the quick commerce arena with the introduction of ‘Insta Maids,’ a new service promising domestic help within just 15 minutes of booking. This innovative offering marks the home services platform’s entry into the rapidly expanding quick delivery sector.
The service is currently running as a pilot project in Mumbai, with plans to potentially expand to other cities where Urban Company maintains operations, according to Moneycontrol. A recent Facebook post by the company reveals that while the regular price starts at Rs 245 per hour, an introductory offer allows users to access the service for only Rs 49 per hour.
“Your maid took an off but your chores won’t! Get a UC Insta Maid in just 15 mins to tackle it all. Starts @ only Rs 49/hour!” reads the company’s promotional message on Facebook.
The Insta Maids service covers essential household tasks including utensil cleaning, brooming, mopping, and cooking preparation, among other domestic chores.
With this launch, Urban Company joins prominent players in the quick commerce market, alongside Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart in grocery delivery, Zomato and Zepto’s 10-minute food delivery, and Apollo247’s 20-minute medicine delivery services.
Urban Company’s established service portfolio already includes bathroom, kitchen, and full-home cleaning, sofa and carpet cleaning, and pest control solutions for various household pests. Additionally, the platform offers AC services, as well as electrician, plumber, carpenter, and wall painting services.
