Vi has partnered with Spotify to bundle Premium subscriptions with select prepaid recharge plans, adding music streaming to its entertainment offerings alongside voice, data and OTT benefits.
The telecom operator has rolled out three prepaid options featuring Spotify Premium access. The Rs 435 plan offers unlimited 4G/5G data, unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, JioHotstar (Mobile) and Spotify Premium, all valid for 28 days. A more affordable Rs 250 plan includes 2GB of data, unlimited calls, 300 SMS and Spotify Premium, also valid for 28 days.
Vi has additionally introduced a Rs 230 add-on pack that pairs Spotify Premium with access to over 20 OTT platforms – including JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV, FanCode and Lionsgate Play – along with 30GB of high-speed data, valid for 28 days.
To activate the Spotify Premium benefit, customers need to recharge with an eligible plan and enable the subscription through the Vi app. The benefit stays active for the plan’s validity period and can be extended by purchasing another qualifying pack.
The move builds on Vi’s existing entertainment bundling strategy, which already includes tie-ups with Netflix, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, SonyLIV and ZEE5 across select prepaid and postpaid plans. By adding Spotify to the mix, Vi is positioning its recharge plans as a broader entertainment package rather than just connectivity, competing for value-conscious users who want music and video streaming bundled with their mobile service.
The partnership reflects the growing trend among Indian telecom operators to differentiate through content partnerships as core connectivity pricing plateaus in an increasingly saturated market.
