CeraVe Launches Blemish Control Range in India with Integrated Campaign ‘Acne Care Matlab Treat & Repair’

The brand combines science-backed skincare with relatable storytelling to de-stigmatise acne and promote holistic skin health.

CeraVe has officially introduced its Blemish Control Range in India, supported by an integrated campaign titled ‘Acne Care Matlab Treat & Repair’. The initiative aims to normalize conversations around acne, encourage expert-led skincare, and dismantle long-held myths and stigmas associated with acne in the Indian context.

Rooted in dermatologist-developed science, the campaign highlights a key consumer insight: many young Indians continue to rely on home remedies or aggressive DIY treatments, often exacerbating skin issues. In contrast, CeraVe offers gentle yet effective products designed to treat acne while simultaneously repairing the skin barrier—underscoring the brand’s core belief in treating and repairing for long-term skin health.

Rami Itani, Director – L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, India, said:

“Acne remains a significant concern in India. At CeraVe, we are committed to making dermatologist-backed skincare accessible to all. With our Blemish Control Range and the campaign ‘Acne Care Matlab Treat & Repair’, we are building a safe, stigma-free space where young Indians feel empowered to take charge of their skin health using science-based solutions. The emphasis remains on repairing the skin barrier with our signature ceramides for effective, lasting results.”

As part of the launch, CeraVe introduced a unique “Acne Academy”-a back-to-school themed educational experience. It included interactive sessions ranging from scientific deep dives led by the brand’s Research & Innovation team to fun, themed workshops. The event culminated with a masterclass by leading dermatologist Dr. Mukta Sachdeva, aimed at simplifying acne education and promoting skincare literacy among attendees.

To amplify the message digitally, CeraVe rolled out a multi-platform storytelling strategy. A standout moment came with comedian Kaneez Surka’s viral open letter “Acne Leave”, which sparked widespread attention, generating over 5 million views and turning into a trending digital petition. The campaign gained further momentum with over 200 creators joining the conversation, amassing 84 million impressions and reaching more than 20 million young Indiansacross platforms like SnapchatOTT, and digital media.

The Blemish Control Range marks CeraVe’s entry into the acne and post-acne care category in India. The collection includes a cleansergel, and retinol serum-each enriched with essential ceramides to maintain the skin’s protective barrier while delivering targeted acne care. It provides a science-led, gentle alternative to the often harsh or ineffective home remedies commonly used.

With this launch, CeraVe continues to expand its mission of making dermatologist-developed skincare accessible to Indian consumers, one scientifically sound step at a time.
