Presented as a cinematic narrative, the campaign film moves away from conventional definitions of success such as fame, glamour or nostalgia. Instead, it focuses on a deeper and more personal idea – the freedom to choose one’s own direction. Through visually striking scenes, Zeenat Aman walks through different spaces while rejecting the noise of societal labels and expectations, ultimately embracing independence and self-definition.
Her journey becomes symbolic of the millions of women who continue to move forward despite stereotypes, constantly evolving while inspiring others around them. The film emphasises that empowerment is not about rebellion but about owning one’s identity and moving through life unapologetically.
Prerna Agarwal, Chief Innovation Officer at Campus Activewear, explained that the brand sees women’s empowerment as more than just a campaign message. According to her, Campus aims to create products and an ecosystem that support women in their everyday journeys – whether through comfort, reliability, or styles that reflect individuality.
Zeenat Aman also reflected on the campaign’s message, stating that throughout her life she has often been told how she should look, behave or represent herself. For her, choosing to walk her own path was not rebellion but simply self-awareness. She added that the campaign represents every woman who has been given a label but chooses to transform it into a badge of strength.
As an extension of the You Go Girl initiative, the campaign encourages women everywhere to move freely, move boldly and move their own way.
