Conceptualised by Ogilvy India, the campaign uses storytelling to bring alive the rich culinary heritage associated with one of India’s most iconic dishes.

Rooted in history, biryani has evolved through generations of skilled khaansamas, whose recipes transformed it into a layered, aromatic experience. The campaign pays tribute to this legacy through a quirky film set in medieval India. The narrative unfolds in a royal court where a mischievous khaansama repeatedly annoys the king, only to be forgiven each time because of the irresistible taste of his biryani. This playful storyline reinforces the idea that truly authentic biryani is impossible to resist.

While celebrating tradition, the campaign also introduces the India Gate Classic Biryani Masala – a product designed to simplify the cooking process without compromising on authenticity. The masala includes a premix gravy base and a separate pouch of aromatic seasoning, enabling consumers to recreate rich, restaurant-style biryani at home.

To enhance accessibility, the brand has partnered with Zepto, allowing users to order the product and receive it quickly at their doorstep.
