Sensodyne Enters Children’s Oral Care with Pronamel Kids Launch

Sensodyne has entered the children’s oral care segment in India with the launch of Pronamel Kids toothpaste, expanding Haleon’s Pronamel portfolio in the country.

Designed for children aged two and above, the toothpaste is available in Strawberry and Bubble Mint variants and is formulated to strengthen tooth enamel while offering 24-hour cavity protection. The company noted that children’s milk teeth have thinner enamel than adult teeth, making them more prone to cavities, which makes early, targeted oral care particularly important.

Kishlay Seth, Marketing Director – OHC at Haleon India Subcontinent, said Pronamel Kids builds on the brand equity Pronamel has already established in India, with the new product aimed at strengthening enamel and delivering round-the-clock cavity protection for young children. He added that children’s toothpaste plays a critical role in early oral care, since the thinner enamel of milk teeth leaves them more vulnerable to cavities that can ultimately affect how permanent teeth develop. Seth emphasised that early protection is key to ensuring permanent teeth emerge healthy and strong, and that the brand hopes to address the limited awareness around preventive, child-specific oral care by encouraging parents to adopt more proactive habits.

To support the launch, Sensodyne will run a digital campaign spanning YouTube, Instagram and OTT platforms, aimed at building visibility and driving parental awareness. Pronamel Kids will be made available across general trade, modern trade and e-commerce channels in India, ensuring wide accessibility for parents looking to introduce dedicated oral care for their children.
