Actor and entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor has launched MetaGO, a doctor-led metabolic health platform aimed at helping people manage obesity and related metabolic conditions through structured medical care, diagnostics and long-term clinical support.
The idea for MetaGO grew out of what its founders, Kunal Kapoor, Varun Sheth and Zaheer Adenwala, witnessed over a decade of building Ketto. Working with thousands of families raising funds for serious medical treatment, they saw firsthand the toll of conditions like Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity, many rooted in metabolic health long before becoming emergencies.
Built on the belief that effective metabolic care must be continuous, MetaGO combines doctor-led consultations, metabolic assessments, personalised treatment plans, clinically appropriate GLP-1 therapies, nutrition guidance, fitness coaching and ongoing monitoring into one integrated model, rather than treating weight management as a short-term fix.
Kunal Kapoor said years of building Ketto revealed how metabolic conditions often develop long before anyone needs treatment, adding that MetaGO isn’t a weight-loss company but a platform focused on early intervention, well before surgery becomes necessary. He noted that while GLP-1 therapies have changed outcomes for many, lasting results come only when medication is paired with medical supervision, nutrition and behavioural support.
Varun Sheth, co-founder and CEO, said the platform aims to make high-quality metabolic care accessible to every Indian, delivered through doctor-led, continuous support.
Every MetaGO member begins with an assessment covering over 35 biomarkers, followed by a personalised plan from a specialist. The company recently ran a free metabolic health camp for Mumbai Police and plans further such initiatives.
