Laqshya Media Group Wins Exclusive Ad Mandate at Vizag’s New Airport

Laqshya Media Group has secured exclusive advertising rights at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, the greenfield facility at Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district, which now handles scheduled commercial traffic for Visakhapatnam under the IATA code VTZ.

The airport currently records 52–54 daily air traffic movements and around 7,000 passengers, against an initial design capacity of six million passengers annually. Laqshya will manage advertising inventory across digital, static, branded and experiential formats, with media planning built around passenger movement, dwell time and the terminal’s architecture.

Bhogapuram becomes the fourth airport in Laqshya’s portfolio, joining Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Hyderabad), Cochin International Airport and Noida International Airport – and extends the company’s existing partnership with GMR Group.

Alok Jalan, CMD, Laqshya Media Group, called it a proud moment that extends the GMR partnership to another key gateway on India’s eastern seaboard, noting that airports have become some of the country’s most valuable media environments and that Bhogapuram’s scale fits naturally into Laqshya’s expanding portfolio.

Shashi Sinha, CEO, Laqshya Hyderabad Airport Media, said Visakhapatnam offers a strong business opportunity, with plans to build a commercially robust media business across all formats – focused on strategic inventory development and maximising advertiser value.

Per FICCI-EY, airport media made up 53% of India’s Rs 2,020 crore transit OOH market in 2025. Bhogapuram adds another high-potential regional airport to Laqshya’s growing footprint, with steady passenger traffic and room for future capacity expansion.
