Foxtale has rolled out the second film in its Shah Rukh Khan campaign, built around the skincare brand’s ‘Surface to Source’ philosophy.
The ad leans on a simple metaphor to make its point: what shows up on the skin isn’t always where the real problem lies. Instead of treating a concern every time it resurfaces, Foxtale’s approach is about tracing it back to its actual source and addressing that instead – a shift from repeated surface-level fixes to a more root-cause way of thinking about skincare.
The film also connects this philosophy to the brand’s ongoing ‘Let Your Glow Through’ message, which reframes skincare not as correction or transformation, but as clearing the way for skin to look the way it naturally would.
Romita Mazumdar, founder and CEO of Foxtale, explained the thinking behind the campaign: skincare works best when a concern is understood at its root rather than managed each time it shows up on the surface. That, she said, is the essence of ‘Surface to Source’ – moving beyond repeatedly treating symptoms to actually understanding why they occur. She positioned ‘Let Your Glow Through’ as a natural extension of that idea, noting that the brand isn’t manufacturing a different version of the consumer, but helping their existing glow show through.
This film continues Foxtale’s larger ‘Surface to Source’ campaign arc, using Shah Rukh Khan not to sell a specific product but to carry the brand’s underlying philosophy through a narrative-first, non-product-led execution.
