Mayuresh Dubhashi Returns to Publicis Fold as Saatchi & Saatchi India’s New CCO

Saatchi & Saatchi India, part of Publicis Groupe India, has appointed Mayuresh Dubhashi as Chief Creative Officer, adding further depth to its creative leadership team. Based in Mumbai, he will report to Paritosh Srivastava, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi India, BBH India and Propagate India, and will work alongside Kartik Smetacek, the agency’s existing CCO, to steer its creative direction.

Dubhashi brings over two decades of experience in brand building, innovation strategy and modern storytelling. He joins from FCB Neo India, where he was Chief Creative Officer, and has previously held leadership positions at Leo India, Grey, Taproot Dentsu and JWT. His move marks a return to Publicis Groupe India, following an earlier stint at Leo where he led Oreo’s #BringBack2011 campaign, named India’s most awarded campaign of 2023. His body of work – spanning brands like Oreo, KFC, Adidas, Uber and Amazon – has picked up honours at Cannes Lions, D&AD, Spikes Asia, Effie India, the APAC Effie Awards and The One Show.

With Dubhashi stepping into the CCO role, Rohit Malkani, who has held that position for nearly a decade, moves into an advisory capacity as Senior Creative Advisor, continuing to support select key brands.

Paritosh Srivastava said modern creativity now hinges on understanding culture, consumers and technology to build ideas with real business impact, calling Dubhashi a strong fit for that ambition. Rajdeepak Das, Publicis Groupe South Asia’s Chief Creative Officer, welcomed him back, citing his track record of building strong creative cultures. Dubhashi said he aims to blend culture, data and technology with human insight to lead the agency’s next creative chapter.
