Personal care brand mCaffeine has reunited F.I.R. favourites Gopi and Dharna for “By The Blues”, a campaign promoting its new 3-in-1 Brightening Perfume Body Lotion. The film also features co-founder Tarun Sharma and pokes fun at the way skincare is usually advertised.
Built around the lotion’s aquatic woody fragrance, said to be inspired by a Goa getaway, the story follows Gopi as he investigates how a body lotion can smell so much like the beach destination. Dharna joins in, adding comic energy to the interrogation-style narrative while the product’s benefits are woven in naturally into the storyline.
The lotion combines moisturisation, fragrance and brightening. It contains 5% niacinamide and glutathione, which the brand says help brighten skin and reduce dark spots and pigmentation with regular use. A 7% Deep Moisturising Complex is claimed to offer up to 72 hours of hydration, along with a long-lasting aquatic woody scent.
Calling the collaboration a “full-circle moment”, Sharma said the team wanted to have fun with how skincare is communicated. Rather than simply describing the fragrance, they built a story around the feeling it creates, and Gopi and Dharna delivered the unexpected, entertaining energy the brand was after. The campaign marks the return of the F.I.R. universe in a new brand context, pairing familiar television characters with creator-led entertainment. “By The Blues” will roll out across mCaffeine’s digital and social media platforms.
