Aretto, the design-led kids’ footwear brand, has unveiled U/A: Free the Child, a campaign celebrating children’s curiosity, individuality and freedom to explore. It marks a new chapter for the brand and introduces Leaps Pro V and Leaps Pro, two ranges designed for kids and tweens aged 8 to 13.
The campaign challenges the idea that growing up means becoming less curious or expressive. Through the lens of Gen Alpha tweens who think independently and form their own opinions, it encourages adults to hold on to the instinct to explore, experiment and ask why. Its U/A identity playfully borrows from film certification, inviting grown-ups to reconsider the rules that can limit childhood spirit. Satyajit Mittal, founder and CEO, said growing up should open up a child’s world, not narrow it.
That belief shapes the products too. As routines become more demanding and movement more dynamic, older children need footwear that offers support without restricting natural motion. Both ranges feature patented Supergrooves™ technology that expands up to three sizes, an Infiknit stretchable, breathable upper and a Squishy Foam insole, along with a flexible barefoot-style sole and a non-marking outsole.
The Pro range adds midfoot panels and a padded collar to secure the foot during fast movement. Leaps Pro V comes with Velcro straps, while Leaps Pro has elastic laces that can be tied once and worn like slip-ons. Both are available in multiple colourways, with prices starting at ₹3,499.
