Anmol Biscuits has released a Diwali film, ‘Rishton Ka Uphaar’, that looks at the festival from the perspective of a son who cannot be home with his parents. Instead of letting the distance win, he looks for a way to make the occasion special for them. The film is available on YouTube.
Conceptualised and created by Meraqi Digital, the story turns to parents who are adjusting to everyday life after their children have moved away. They feel moments of loneliness but keep up a positive front for their kids. The son’s gift, Anmol’s Uphaar Box, becomes the gesture through which he shows his care, and the film uses it to show how families stay connected even when they are physically apart.
The campaign is tied to Anmol Industries’ ‘Har Pal Anmol’ philosophy. Aman Choudhary, executive director, and Abhishek Kumar, marketing head, say the idea is about valuing the little moments that make relationships special. According to them, a moment need not be grand to be precious, and sometimes a thoughtful gesture is enough to remind us how Anmol our relationships are.
Ankit Saraf and Snehja Sanganeria, founders of Meraqi Digital, say the aim was to capture the longing parents feel when children cannot come home for Diwali. They add that distance only deepens love, and thoughtful gestures can bridge it, bringing joy to those who miss their loved ones most.
