Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) has announced plans to acquire the remaining 48.06% equity stake in Creamline Dairy Products Limited (CDPL), transforming it into a wholly owned subsidiary. The board has approved a Share Purchase Agreement with CDPL’s promoter group for 47.38% of the equity.
Hyderabad-based CDPL specializes in milk procurement, processing, and dairy product manufacturing, reporting a turnover of Rs 1,54,050.18 lakh for the financial year ending March 31, 2024.
This strategic acquisition aims to strengthen Godrej Agrovet’s dairy industry footprint by consolidating its existing stake in CDPL, which is already categorized as its material subsidiary. As a current promoter, GAVL already holds significant interest in the dairy firm.
The transaction will follow arm’s length principles with proper valuation protocols. While it qualifies as a related party transaction under regulatory norms, no additional government approvals are required.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by September 30, 2025, underscoring Godrej Agrovet’s commitment to expanding its dairy business portfolio and leveraging CDPL’s strong market presence to drive future growth and profitability.
