After nearly seven years with the company, Akash Jain has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Head of Media at Flipkart. In this expanded role, Jain will oversee digital and ATL media strategy across Flipkart’s core business operations and developing verticals, including Flipkart Minutes. Jain himself announced the career advancement through a LinkedIn post.
Prior to this promotion, Jain served as Head of Media – Associate Director for more than two years. During his tenure in that position, he was responsible for managing media strategies spanning both digital and ATL channels for Flipkart’s primary commerce categories—including mobiles, electronics, appliances, fashion, and beauty. His oversight also extended to newer business segments such as Flipkart Minutes, health, fintech, and grocery. Additionally, he has collaborated with brands to enhance their media strategies on the Flipkart platform.
Jain’s career at Flipkart began in May 2017 when he joined as a Brand Marketing Manager, from which he has progressively advanced through the organization. His professional background before Flipkart includes leadership positions at Odigma and founding the venture ContestJunction.com.
