Acer has appointed actor Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador as the technology company broadens its portfolio from personal computing to a wider range of products designed for the home.

The partnership arrives as Acer marks 50 years globally and 27 years in India. Through its House of Acer initiative, the company is bringing together its computing products with Acerpure home appliances, including televisions, air conditioners and washing machines, positioning them as part of a connected home ecosystem rather than standalone devices.

Akshay Kumar said his life involves constant movement between work, travel, fitness and family, and that when he’s home, he values simplicity – technology that eases everyday life rather than adding to it. He said what draws him to Acer is how the brand has evolved alongside changing lifestyles, with House of Acer bringing technology naturally into the way people work, unwind and live at home.
