Baskin-Robbins Expands Beyond Ice Cream with New Dessert Range

Baskin-Robbins is broadening its offerings beyond its signature ice creams with the launch of a new range of baked desserts, marking a significant expansion into the non-frozen dessert category.

Under its new “Treats Beyond Ice Cream” portfolio, the brand has introduced a selection of artisanal baked desserts aimed at consumers looking for indulgent options beyond traditional ice cream. The range includes baked cheesecakes in flavours such as ClassicMango Sauce, and Tiramisu, along with premium layered mousse cakes available in Carameland Strawberry variants.

While Baskin-Robbins has long offered ice cream cakes, sundaes and frozen beverages, the latest launch represents its first major move into standalone bakery-style desserts. The expansion reflects the brand’s strategy to cater to evolving consumer preferences and tap into the growing demand for premium dessert experiences across occasions.

Founded in 1945 by Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins in Glendale, California, Baskin-Robbins built its global reputation around its iconic “31 Flavours” concept, offering a different flavour for every day of the month. Today, the brand operates more than 8,000 outlets worldwide, making it one of the largest specialty ice cream chains globally.

In India, Baskin-Robbins entered the market in 1993 through a joint venture with the Graviss Group, opening its first parlour in Mumbai. Over the years, the brand has expanded its portfolio with ice cream cakes, beverages and frozen desserts.

With the introduction of Treats Beyond Ice Cream, Baskin-Robbins is taking its next step towards becoming a broader dessert destination, offering consumers more choices beyond its traditional frozen favourites.
