Cadbury Celebrations has launched its Diwali campaign, built around the everyday nok-jhok between neighbours. Rooted in life in residential areas, it shows how small quarrels over parking spots, boundary walls, pets, noisy parties or compound cricket games can sit alongside real affection. The brand has released a TV and digital film, along with a short film titled ‘The Neighbour’, as it experiments with new formats.
At the heart of the campaign is a simple thought: Diwali offers a chance to turn everyday tiffs into a little pyaar. A box of Cadbury Celebrations becomes the gesture that bridges the gap and invites neighbours to start afresh. Vinay Subramanyam, VP Marketing, Mondelez India, said Indians bicker and banter with their neighbours, yet bonhomie runs underneath, especially at Diwali. Sukesh Nayak, CCO, Ogilvy India, added that a little sweetness can soften hard feelings. Shekhar Banerjee of WPP Media said the creator ecosystem will turn Diwali moments into shoppable gift guides.
The brand has also introduced a Mithai collection, including Milky Mithai Squares in Kesar Pista flavour, made with slow-cooked caramelised milk. Choco Mithai Squares come in Crispi Rabdi, Badam Barfi and Kesar Badam. The festive range also includes assorted chocolate packs, Silk Selections, Bournville Selections and Rich Dry Fruit Jars, all in gold-accented packaging. Packs start under ₹100, with premium options between ₹250 and ₹575.
The campaign will run across television, digital, social media and in-store touchpoints, reinforcing Cadbury Celebrations’ role in Diwali gifting.
